About Chiara

Chiara Izzi is an award-winning Italian singer-songwriter based in New York City since 2014. Her international career was launched after winning first prize at the 2011 Montreux Jazz Festival Vocal Competition, selected by Quincy Jones. In 2020, she earned an Independent Music Award for Best Jazz Song with Vocals for her original “Circles Of The Mind.”

Known for her expressive, multilingual artistry, Izzi has performed at top NYC venues like Birdland, Blue Note, and Smalls, and shared the stage with acclaimed musicians including Kevin Hays, Jeff Hamilton, Diego Figueiredo, and Warren Wolf. Her discography includes Motifs (2013) and Across The Sea (2019), a collaborative album with Hays praised for its honesty and musical depth.

Born in Campobasso, Italy, Izzi studied classical piano before turning to jazz, earning a Master’s in Jazz from the Conservatory of Frosinone. She’s been recognized in numerous European competitions and continues to explore a broad musical palette blending jazz, Brazilian, classical, and pop influences.
